here is something about Laguna Beach in the fall the cooler air, cozy sweaters, and that soft evening light along the coast. It was the perfect setting for this family to document such a sweet season: waiting for their new baby while soaking in these last months as a family of three.
Their little girl made the session so much fun. We explored around the cove, played along the coast, snuggled up together, and let her set the pace. I gently pose and guide my families throughout a session, but especially with little ones, I love leaving room for movement and play. We’ll get the photos of everyone looking, but we’ll also let your toddler explore and just be little.
This session was also their baby announcement, which made it even more special. We incorporated a few intentional announcement photos while still keeping the rest of the gallery focused on their family and what life feels like right now.
Because before long, their little girl will be a big sister.
These are some of my favorite seasons to photograph the ones where your family is right on the edge of something new. There’s so much excitement for what’s coming, but also something really beautiful about slowing down long enough to document what you already have.
